bio.
Marija directs films that synthesize documentary and other art forms. Experimentation with sound that characterizes her work comes from her background in music as a performer/vocalist.
In 2016, Marija founded production house Bilboke in Serbia. She is a member of DokSerbia, a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellow in category Film/Video for 2015 and Instituto Sacatar in Brazil film fellow for 2017. Since September 2019, she's been a part of the collective behind Set Sail Films, a film company in Belgrade.
